slackluster: The art of leisure

Building off of last year’s theme (Proactive, not Reactive), I’ve decided that my theme for 2012 will be PURSUE. I’ve realized in recent months that much of my adult life has been characterized by complete risk aversion. I’ve set up a comfy cozy existence, both professionally & socially/romantically, where I am reasonably satisfied with the way things are, but out of fear of what could go wrong, I do not take risks that could ultimately lead to greater fulfillment. I have been settling for a shade of the life I could be living. Hence, it will be my primary challenge in 2012 to fully PURSUE all that I want in life. This will likely lead to more pain, frustration, rejection, and failure, but I have to be willing to face my fears if I am ever going to fulfill the greatest desires of my heart.

You are perceptive and can read most situations and people quickly. You have an active intellect and it is easy for you to take on anything to which you put your mind. It is important for you to take action though. Making mistakes, however, is vital to spiritual growth and will only move you forward if you do not become fixated on disappointments.
